NOTE: the deadline for submitting of extended abstracts have
been postponed ("late call for papers") !!!!!
The aim of ICNAAM 2006 is to bring together leading
scientists of the international Numerical and Applied
Mathematics community and to attract original research
papers of very high quality. Topics to be covered include
all the research areas of Numerical Analysis and
Computational Mathematics and all the research areas of
Applied and Industrial Mathematics.
During the conference the following session will be
organized:
Session: Numerical analysis of flow phenomena
Understanding fluid dynamics has been one of the major
advances of mathematics, physics and engineering. Single-
and multiphase flow technology is increasingly important in
the energy and manufacturing industries. Pollution control,
pneumatic transport, combustion, and development of new
materials as well as many other engineering applications
will benefit from the fundamental engineering design
application and research in the field. The objective of the
session is to bring together scientists working on
numerical
and also experimental issues. They are called upon to
present their research. Topics of interest include (but not
limited): acoustic theory, aerodynamics, aeronautics,
combustion, flow measurements, hydrodynamics, multi-phase
flows, rheology
Proceedings and special issues:
Extended abstracts will be published in a special volume of
Wiley-VCH
Selected Proceedings of ICNAAM 2006 will be published in
Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences (Wiley & Sons)
and in a journal of applied numerical analysis and
computational mathematics (will be announced)
Important dates:
Submission of Extended Abstract: July 1, 2006 (A NEW DATE
FOR LATE CALL FOR PAPERS: September 1, 2006 !!!!)
Submission of the full paper for consideration for
publication in the journals: September 30, 2005 - January
10, 2007
Submission of papers:
Please send your 3-4 pages extended abstract to
Pawel.Kosinski@ift.uib.no by Sep 1, 2006
The preparation of the abstracts must be based on the style
files of Wiley & Sons given in URL address:
For Latex users:
http://www.icnaam.org/docs/LaTeX_Style_Files.zip
For Word users:
http://www.icnaam.org/docs/Template_File_for_Word_for_Windo
ws.zip
All the papers must have (after the keywords) the
Mathematics Subject Classification Index (which is
mentioned
as Subject classification):
http://www.ams.org/msc/
In order to better assess the number of participants, we
ask
to send a title of the presentation to
Pawel.Kosinski@ift.uib.no as soon as possible (this is not
a
requirement though).
