Your presenter: Yong Yi, PhD
Dr. Yi joined Fluent Inc. in 2002, after completing his
PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Working at the
Engine Research Center under Professor Rolf Reitz, his
research focused on the spray and mixing processes and
their influences on combustion and emissions in diesel
engines. During this work he developed a 1-D jet primary
breakup model and multi-component high-pressure
evaporation model. His previous education includes a
master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Florida
International University, a master’s in Power Engineering
from Chongqing University, and bachelor’s degree in
Aerospace Engineering from Nanjing University of
Aeronautics and Astronautics. While in China, he also
served as a college instructor for three years.
