ERCOFTAC Conference on Simulation of Multiphase Flows in Gasification and Combustion - Program online
This ERCOFTAC conference will bring together experts and scientists in the field of advanced modeling and simulation of multiphase flows in both combustion and gasification. Multiphase can stand for any combination of gas, liquid and solid matter. In addition to the continuously high interest in combustion in multi-phase flows (e.g. in engines, gas turbines or coal combustors for mobility and power generation), gasification has recently gained significant interest.
Date: September 18, 2011 - September 20, 2011

Description:

The technical program for both poster and oral presentation is online.

The organizing committee invites you to attend and participate in the 1st
ERCOFTAC conference on Multiphase Flows in Gasification and Combustion
(MFGC-1). Current research results on simulation of chemically reacting flows
under oxidizing (combustion) and reducing (gasification) conditions will be
presented. The technical program consists of invited lectures given by leading
experts and contributed oral and poster presentations.

The objective of this ERCOFTAC conference is to bring together experts and
scientists in the field of advanced modeling and simulation of multiphase flows
in both combustion and gasification.

Multiphase can stand for any combination of gas, liquid and solid matter. In
addition to the continuously high interest in combustion in multiphase flows
(e.g. in engines, gas turbines or coal combustors for mobility and power
generation), gasification for both energetic and non-energetic use
(polygeneration) has recently gained significant interest.
