Description:

CD-adapco Seminar: The Virtual Wave Basin

Are you a Naval Architect working in the marine or offshore industry?
Are you frustrated by solely relying on physical testing and empirical methods?
Do you have to answer questions such as:

    • how to modify bilge keels to prevent excessive vessel rolling?
    • optimal thruster positioning?
    • need accurate hull drag prediction for transportation of a Semi-Submersible?
    • understand wave slam loads and enhancement before going to the tank?

Attend this seminar and you will discover how Naval Architects from companies like Alan C. McClure Associates (ACMA), a major Drilling Contractor and others, have added STAR-CCM+ - the leading flow and thermal simulation tool (CFD) - to their toolkit, and how it is helping them to answer both design and operational questions.

Location: Houston Marriott Westchase, 2900 Briarpark Dr.
Date and Time: May 24, 2011, 9:00am - 3:00pm
