The Advanced Research Workshop on Fire Computer Modeling
will take place in Santander on October 19, 2007.
The goal of the Workshop is to bring together numerical and
experimental practitioners in fire dynamics, and foster
discussion and exchange of knowledge about the current
state of fire modeling. Experts in the field are called
upon to present their research, applications and case
studies to a worldwide audience. The programme will cover
both theoretical and practical aspect.
The GIDAI research group at the Universidad de Cantabria is
hosting and organizing the Workshop, with the collaboration
of the University of California at Berkeley (USA) and the
University of Edinburgh (UK). GIDAI has been carrying out
engginer and research proyects in the Fire Science and
Technology for more than 15 years now.
Objectives
------------------------------------------------------------
The Advanced Research Workshop on Fire Computer Modeling
has the following objectives:
-To present the state of the art in the field of Fire
Computer Modeling to the participants, with emphasis on
recent advances and innovations.
-To address the actual trends in the field.
-To introduce the employment of Fire Computer Models,
Virtual Reality and advanced techniques of High Performance
Visualization.
