The I Workshop of the Venezuelan Society of Fluid Mechanics
2012 (FLUIDOS2012) will take place in November, 5th to 9th
2012 in the Margarita Island, Venezuela, under the auspices
of the Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas
(IVIC), FONACIT, PDVSA, CORPOELEC, Universidad Central de
Venezuela (UCV), Universidad de los Andes (ULA), Universidad
Simón Bolívar (USB), INZIT, La Universidad del Zulia (LUZ),
Universidad Nacional Experimental Politécnica de la Fuerza
Armada Nacional (UNEFA), Universidad de Carabobo (UC), CIDA,
FUNDACITE-MÉRIDA, Consejo Mexiquense de Ciencia y Tecnología
(COMECYT), CINVESTAV - ABACUS, Instituto Nacional de
Investigaciones Nucleares (ININ), and CONACyT. 

This workshop will bring together national and international
researchers focusing on fluid flow and its applications. The
objetive of the workshop is to provide a forum for
presentation of state-of-the-art research in both
theoretical and experimental fluid mechanics as well as
opportunities for interactions among the participants.
During the workshop it is expected to organize a network of
professionals, young researchers, and students working in
basic and applied fluid dynamics oriented to engineering
technology.

The Venezuelan Society of Fluid Mechanics invites
researchers, professors, professionals, and students working
in the area of fluid mechanics to send their contributions.
The program of the workshop will consist of fourteen (14)
invited conferences by renowned national and international
researchers, several oral presentations, and a poster stand.
