The course is intended for students, PhD students scientists
and all others who want to take the advantage of ease of
implementation and develop efficient simulation tools and
application programs making use of many highly-optimised
numerical algorithms for handling vectors and matrices,
solving linear and nonlinear systems of equations in a
serial or parallel programming model. It is aimed at those
who just want to learn from scratch and start using Trilinos
numerical library, but also at those who already had the
first, basic contact with Trilinos.

The course is a hands-on workshop with a maximum amount of
exercises showing the following applications.
Detailed topics:
- Introduction to Trilinos packages and its organization,
- Basic information on C++ which will be needed during the
course,
- Storing serial vectors and matrices and operations on them,
- Solving serial linear systems of equations,
- Defining a parallel map, parallel vectors and parallel
matrices and operations on them,
- Building and solving linear systems of equations in parallel,
- Introduction to nonlinear problems,
- Additional information and exercises on other Trilinos
packages.
