Mutliphysics and multi-component simulations play an
increasing role in
industrial environments in order to better understand the
behavior of the
systems as well as to design new technologies. When complex
turbulent fluid
motions are involved in the systems, the Computational Fluid
Dynamics
approach is of first order on the quality of the results. In
many fields of
application (combustion, rotating machines, aerodynamic,
acoustic ...) high
fidelity unsteady flow methods such as Large Eddy Simulation
or Direct
Numerical Simulation give very accurate results in academic
and quasi-industrial
configurations. The step forward is to coupled such solvers
with other physics to
compose mutliphysics and multi-component frameworks. The
symposium on
"High fidelity multiphysics and coupled simulations of
complex systems" aims at
bringing together international researchers and engineers
involved in the
development and/or use of coupled systems based on high
fidelity fluid solvers.
Specific but not limited topics include aerothermal,
aeromechanics and
aeroacoustic from several point of view such as
applications, modelisation, HPC,
methodologies, framework ...
