enterprise software to predict stirred tank performance” can
help facilitate knowledge management, collaboration and use
of mixing science within a global organization to accelerate
reactor design, process scale up, process optimization and
troubleshooting associated with stirred tanks.
This course will consist of one day of instruction covering
these topics
- Introduction to mixing in stirred tanks, covers mixing
technology & concepts
- Various Impeller types and their applications
- Scale-up rules for various processes
- Mixing of miscible liquids - power dissipation, blend
time, flow patterns
- Gas-liquid mixing - gassed power consumption, gas hold-up,
gas liquid mass transfer
- Solid-liquid mixing - critical impeller speed for solid
suspension, solid-liquid mass transfer
- Use of CFD to address various mixing challenges
- Hands on session with MixIT™ Enterprise Mixing Analysis
Tool
- Solving various mixing problems using MixIT™
