Description: |
The symposium stands for a lively and creative exchange on
innovative turbomachinery simulation technology through a
dialogue with experts and peers. There will be presentations
from all areas of turbomachinery: Pumps, water turbines, fans,
propellers, compressors, gas, steam and wind turbines. As an
attendee, you will benefit from exposure to educational
keynote lectures, latest simulation technology, creative
applications of simulation tools, and time to brainstorm with a
like-minded group. Successes, as well as challenges, are
welcomed and encouraged for discussion.
ISimT-19 will commence on 19 November 2019, 13:00 h, with a
presentation by Dr Florian Menter (ANSYS Germany), the
developer of the successful SST turbulence model and several
scale-resolving models, on “Progress in Turbulence Modelling”.
The second day will start with an overview lecture by Paul
Galpin (ISimQ) on “CFD Solution Algorithms for the Pressure-
Velocity-Density Coupling”. Nick Wyman (Pointwise) and
Thorsten Hansen (ISimQ) will present “A New Method for
Geometry-Sensitive, CFD Code-Independent Mesh Adaptation”.
The first day will close with a symposium dinner.
ISimQ will publish the symposium program on 9 September
2019.
