Simulating Data Center Energy Use; Linking CFD and Cooling Plant Modeling
|
Attendees of this webinar will learn how to couple the output of a typical
data center CFD model output, to a simulation of the data center external
cooling plant. The result is an entire "systems" model of the entire data
center complex, providing a high fidelity representation of the facility,
with the ability to then analyze the economic impact of potential changes.

Description: |
As data center overall size and density continue to grow,
the issue of energy consumption and efficiency become both
a economic issue, as well as a political issue. The result
is a growing demand to better understand how data center
cooling energy is consumed, and how to minimize it.
Attendees of this webinar will learn how to couple the
output of a typical data center CFD model output, to a
simulation of the cooling plant external to the data
center. The result is an entire "cooling systems" model
from CRAH fans in the "white space" to external chillers
and cooling towers, providing a high fidelity
representation of the facility, with the ability to then
analyze the economic impact of potential changes.
Time: 12 noon Eastern Standard (New York) Time.
