This course will give a comprehensive state of the art on deterministic as well as evolutionary multicriteria/multidisciplinary optimization methods and their use for design in research and industrial environments in Aeronautics and Turbomachinery. These emergent techniques are now rapidly moving from research labs to industrial integrated platforms and it is expected that in the near future they will become a crucial technology for industrial competitiveness. The content of the course is oriented towards both engineers and researchers involved in the field of multidisciplinary design and looking for numerical solutions - or a set of solutions - in complex multicriteria problems.
