Vehicle aerodynamics is one of the most interesting areas of fluid dynamics today, specially for automotive industry people. The aim of this Lecture Series is to present the state-of-the-art review of on-going activities in drag reduction, cross-wind stability and noise reduction and to indicate current research directions. Introductory lectures on the fundamentals of fluid dynamics will be followed by up-to-date reviews on wind tunnel technologies and numerical modeling. The lectures will be turned towards commercial vehicle as well as racing cars. Aerodynamic drag, directional stability, aerodynamics of motor cycles, heating and air conditioning, engine cooling and aeroacoustics of some car elements will also be presented to the attendees to enhance the applicability to their various fields of research.
