Description: |
Both in the US and in Europe, instrumentation working groups are formed to promote research and development of robust, fast and more accurate measurement techniques to further improve the design of turbomachinery components. The objective of this short training course is to provide a practice-oriented answer to the needs of the gas turbine industry for skilled instrumentation engineers through a combination of courses and active lab sessions. This short course will address a choice of relevant measurement techniques for industry, in particular, unsteady pressure and temperature measurements, hot wire and hot film measurements and pressure sensitive paints with direct emphasis on the data reduction and signal processing techniques useful for turbomachinery engineers.
