Description: |
The course topics will be presented by international experts from academia and industry and consists of two parts. The first focuses on fundamental models and mechanistic descriptions including:
- Non-spherical, non-isothermal particle motion and reactions
- Gas phase reactions and emissions
- Formation of deposits on heating surfaces
The second part focuses on industrial applications and validation of models including:
- Grate-firing of biomass and waste
- Suspension firing of biomass and cofiring of biomass with other fuels
- Validation of full-scale CFD simulations
