The workshop is part of the European Atelier for
Computational Science and Engineering project (EUA4X,
http:/
/www.eua4x. net). Participants will have the opportunity
for
attending seminars regarding experiences about numerical
applications to real field- and regional-scale problems,
which differ quite a lot from synthetic small-scale
problems generally described in books.
The presentations are made by a number researchers and
scientists with many of experience in numerical
simulation,
computer modelling and applications. Presentations will
focus mainly on the criteria adopted for solving the
problems encountered during case study input set-up,
execution and post-processing of results, although
some theoretical issues will be also discussed.
